More info

HealthWise® L-Methionine is an essential amino acid, found in foods not commonly eaten by vegans or vegetarians.
It contributes to the synthesis of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe), which is necessary for normal brain function, and L-Cysteine, which is a component of glutathione, an important antioxidant molecule in the body.

Methionine is also a transporter of the antioxidant mineral, selenium. L-Methionine helps to break down fats and assists with Choline production and transport of selenium and zinc. Cells in the liver and kidneys especially need this amino acid for regeneration.

Signs of L-Methionine deficiency include poor skin tone, hair loss and impaired elimination of toxins.

DID YOU KNOW?

Lower methionine levels in pregnancy have been associated with neural tube defects, as have low folic acid levels.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 100% pure powder
  • Pharmaceutical grade
  • Packed without fillers or flowing agents

> Specific Amino: L-Methionine
> Specific Weight:  L-Methionine = 2000mg

Note:  The above measurements display the amount of milligrams per amino equivalent to a 5ml metric teaspoon. Powders are loosely filled, levelled but not compacted.

HealthWise® Amino Powders are pure pharmaceutical grade powders and are packed by weight not volume, without the use of fillers or flowing agents. Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

Up to 2grams between meals.

TIPS:

During Methionine supplementation, intake of Taurine, Cysteine, and other sulphur containing amino acids, as well as P5P and folate/folinic acid should also be included.
